<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>An effective method for the preparation of water-soluble cyanine dye Cy5 using the soluble polymers supported liquid-phase organic synthesis (LPOS) was proposed. Poly (ethylene glycol) methyl ether with a molecular weight of 2000 was used as a polymer substrate, which allowed us to simplify the characterization of products at intermediate stages of synthesis by NMR spectroscopy. This approach makes it easy to obtain the necessary cyanine dyes, which are widely used as fluorescent labels and are popular modifying reagents in biochemistry and medicine.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>жидкофазный синтез</kwd><kwd>метиловый эфир поли(этиленгликоля)</kwd><kwd>водорастворимый цианиновый краситель Су5</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>liquid-phase synthesis</kwd><kwd>poly(etheleneglycol) methyl ester</kwd><kwd>water-soluble cyanine dye Cy5</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Novel asymmetric Cy5 dyes: Synthesis, photostabilities and nigh sensitivity in protein fluorescence labiling / L.
